I have been playing around with Sketchucam to do 2D foam cutting. I do realize Sketchucam is for CNC milling and perhaps it is not the right program to do the job. As I run into issues when I have multiple objects to cut around, I find that the tool path to the next object usually cuts one of the object in a undesirable place. I am starting to wonder if Sketchucam is the right software or is there another one?

No, it is not the right thing for wire cutting foam. There are many bits of software for it on the web like jedicut, but most do not produce gcode, instead they expect to have custom hardware attached to the pc, either via the parallel port or more recently, usb.
