what version did you install (you can see the version in the Gcode output)?
    what OS are you using?
did you read all the install instructions?

I have a sketchup drawing on 1 of the pieces will not generate cnc code. I can do an outside cut and tabs on it. It all fits in the safe area, but when I click generate all I get is
    %
    (Generated by SketchUcam {1.1d})
    (File: Airboat_dtfb.skp)
    (Bit diameter: 1/8")
    (Feed rate: 80"/min)

    (Material Thickness: 13/64")
    (Material length: 18" X width: 28")
    (Overhead Gantry: false)
(Retract feed rate NOT limited to plunge feed rate)
    (Optimization is ON)

Seeing the actual file will help a lot. Without seeing it one suggestion is to make sure the part is on the zero plane in the Z axis.

I'm having the same problem. I even installed a whole new setup on my laptop. Same thing. It makes a file with not gcode in it. The Gplot shows what you have above with not graphic or Gcode

I got it working. After a whole day messing with it. This time I copied my project to the clipboard and then abandoned the project and started a new one. Pasted from the clipboard then clicked on one of the components. right clicked edit component. left clicked the face. control-C. exit out of component edit. Control-V. Placed it in the working area. Phlaten edge was working funny. But I got some gcode this time.

    do not make 'components'.
creating groups will set the order of cuts, but components are not understood.

I'm not sure what you mean. My use of components identifies the part. Then I group components together. When I make cuts, I just use a copy of the face. Could this be what I'm doing wrong? Can the part be too complicated for sketchucam? I'm using version 1.1d

I'm saying that if you want SketchUcam to generate cuts, then the cuts cannot be part, or around, a component.
draw a plain square, put a cut around it, generate Gcode. works ok.
make the square into a component -> no Gcode

Yea. Well. Be it as it may, Nothing in the cutting area is part of a component. Has anyone looked at my file? Just wondering.

You should use the phlatbone tool to make the dog bones. The funny geometry in your corners is causing the problem. It is making it so the outside cut line cannot make a face like the square I made above it.

If you used the phlatbone tool it would not have done this.

Agreed. install 1.1e-beta4 too, the dogbones are even better since they now generate fewer line segments the offset cuts and gcode are much cleaner and quicker to cut too.

I tried to look at your file, but it is V2014 and I only have V8 on this machine, not insurmountable but a big enough hurdle to create a delay.
