SmoothStepper - USB Support for Mach3

    Is anyone using the SmoothStepper (USB to Parallel Port converter) on their PhlatPrinter setup?

    I just ordered one, and with two parallel ports on the board, this should make for a nice universal interface to BOB's and motor controllers.

    When I receive it, I'll post my results if there is any interest. Many of the new systems don't have a native parallel port.

    There is also a product scheduled to come out that is similar to the SmoothStepper, the ncPODlpt from oemtech. I am looking into this as well.

    I've been using a SmoothStepper for months now, so I can (and do) run my PP from my Dell D800 laptop. Smooooooooth!
    Just do a search for "SmoothStepper" on this forum and you'll find my posts about it.
