Is it feasible to use styro spray on a flat foamie, or is it too heavy once applied?
If anyone has used it on a plane feel free to chime in.
With Depron at almost 7 dollars a sheet now and FFF being only 50 dollars for 25 sheets it only makes sense to use the DOW foam.
I figure maybe spraying the foamie with the styro spray and seeing how that works for a nice finish.

I have used it, but it does add quite a bit of weight to the plane. It is pretty messy to handle and runs are easily introduced if you cannot continually rotate the material being covered while it sets up.

I would only use it now on boats where it would make a great sealer for water intrusion.

I prefer to use Oracal 651 vinyl vs styro spray. Easier to apply and adds strength and good looks to any plane. It too, however, adds additional weight.

My third choice is latex paint.
