Hey guys, just finished a profile Jet as mentioned above!! This has always been one of my favs even though it was only a prototype and never went into production, it was from the same era as the Mig -15 !! It has really nice curves and I am trying it with a flat horizontal stab/elevator instead of the 15 degree taper to try and stabilize this bird!! Hope you guys like it , I plan to maiden this as soon as the rain lets up!! Also I ran this with a puller because of the instability a pusher would have and placement would be tricky because of prop clearance !!!
Hey Guys the Gcode and SKP file are listed down a few posts!! ENJOY!!
    spec are
    wingspan 34"
Length 33" from prop to tail
    AUW under 7oz
    Motor 24gram BW 1500kv
    3 cell 610 Rhino Lipo
    9gram servos

    Thanks

Thank you Mark :) The linkage was tricky but I finally got it stable without binding, trying to curve the rods was interesting  With the 3 cell it should be lightning fast!! I hope to get some video if it proves to fly well !! and if there is enough response from my phlat brothers maybe I can post the cut file! I made it with one sheet of FFF!!! :D I need to offer a jet on the website!! and this will be my $15 plane !!!

Always ready for a new project. Any chance you can work this up for available sizes of 6mm Depron? In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to the cut file on this interesting and novel airplane. Thanks,

Hi Chuck! I have it set up for 5.5mm foam( to be compatible with FFF and 6mm depron) and found most of my 6mm depron to be slightly undersized so you may be able to just use the original file, I will cut one with my 6mm depron if it proves flight worthy and if there are any tolerance issues I will rework the code for you !! :)

Mark, I will post this as soon as I get the maiden!!I dont want you to waste a sheet of foam if it is a belly up bird LOL :D

    Thanks guys!

Hey Guys, Well, I was able to Maiden this bad boy at our local indoor facility and after about three trys I found the CG location and had this jet flying awesome, it just so happens to be at the first (10" )carbon wing spar!!! I was running the 3 cell 610mah Lipo and it was dead on!
Also it was doing knife edge without a rudder:) I am very pleased with the results I am going to have this available on the xtremefoamies.com site after I do the build pics and make some sort of instruction. I plan to only offer this as foam only. Hope you guys can cut one, Im sure you will have alot of fun!! It flys very slow with a slight 5 degree of up elevator input, but hey, its a jet and excels with t he fast speed!! ENJOY my Phlat Phriends!!!

    Nice John!
You have to love when the design for the cg ends up on the spar, maybe it means you are getting good at this design stuff
You flew this indoors?! That's good to know its that controllable
I am looking forward to the foam kit you will be offering
    Thank you for sharing John

Thanks again Mark !! I should have told you the indoor sport complex is the length of a football field :D But it should fly in a smaller venue just fine.
Also please go up and download the version 2 of SKP with the Larger elevators, this really helps give you stable slow control, it flys well with the stock ones but I found I didnt have to fly it as fast with the extension!!! :)

    Thanks
    John

Well I cut the nose off in SU to make a PF motor mount.

Added a peice of Ply for a Motor mount and formed it. :p

Doesn't look bad still needs some trimming.

SWEET! ET :D that came out great and the best part is that it worked with the foam! I have never tried foam only that is really cool it works!
Did you coat it with anything or just the plain foam parts?
