Hey guys, new to SketchUcam and Phlatscript, and new to this forum so sorry in advance if Im in the wrong place. I have a Shopbot CNC router that can cut a 48"x96" piece of material at a time, and was wanting to pocket out some material in a piece of wood to create name plates. In the image, you can see that I exploded the text, and selected and phlatened it. I can pocket the I and the N but not the BR or A. I am obviously missing something. Any help appreciated.

    Hi
pocketing letters like that falls under the 'pocketing complicated shapes' category (-:
    here is one technique.

you can also do it manually using the offset tool (or TIGs SmartOffset plugin) to create concentric rings in the shape that you then set as centerline cuts. however, though this may take less time to do (for me anyway) than using the pocket tool, the pocket tool will actually CUT faster and leave no gaps (so long as your stepover is reasonable, like <= 75%).

see my other videos too, they will help you get up to speed with SketchUcam
